You will find the Department of Psychology on the first floor of the building of the Faculty of Education – Poříčí 31, Brno.
Study
Besides teaching psychological disciplines for students of the programmes Teacher for Primary Schools and Teacher of General Subjects the teachers from the Department of Psychology also participate in teaching the basic teacher training courses in the Bachelors programme, extension programme and in various other forms of study organized by the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, whose curricula contain psychology.
The department´s staff members have always taught and keep teaching psychology for teachers also at other faculties of Masaryk University, especially at the Faculties of Sciences, Medicine and Arts, including instruction at the University of Third Age.
At the present, the department provides instruction in the two-year additional pedagogical study of art therapy.
Under the auspices of the Department of Psychology and within the lifelong study mode, since the academic year 2009/2010 the specializations Degree for Student Counsellors and Degree for Specialized Activities – Prevention of Social Pathological Phenomena have been taught.
