Enrolment in studies

The condition for admission of successful applicants to studies is that on the day assigned for Decision on Admission collection, the applicant will prove that he/she fulfils the legal requirements for admission to study as well as requirements to admission to study stipulated by the Dean. Based on that, the applicants will receive the Decision of Admission to Studies and will be enrolled into 1st term of study.

Bachelor’s and Master’s (long-cycle) study programmes

The condition for admission of successful applicants to studies is that on the day assigned for Decision on Admission collection, the applicant will prove that he/she completed secondary or secondary specialized education. The applicant must file a certified copy of leaving certificate.

Dates of enrolment to studies in 2019

Specific date, time and place of enrolment to studies can be found in the invitation to enrolment, which is sent to each applicant by mail. This information can be also found in the e-application.

Bring the following to the enrolment:

  • Valid ID or passport for identification
  • Certified copy of leaving certificate, which must be kept in personal file of the student
  • If the leaving certificate was issued abroad, the applicant must file A Nostrification of Certificates Issued by School Abroad on the day of enrolment unless specified otherwise by a bilateral agreement. Detailed information on legalisation process is available here (Czech only).
  • We recommend to bring the invitation letter and a pen (the Office for Studies cannot provide any).

Follow-up Master’s study programme

The condition for admission to studies is that on the day assigned for Decision on Admission collection, the applicant will prove that he/she successfully completed Bachelor’s studies. The applicant must file a certified copy of Bachelor’s diploma.

Dates of enrolment to studies in 2019

Specific date, time and place of enrolment to studies can be found in the invitation to enrolment, which is sent to each applicant by mail. This information can be also found in the e-application.

Bring the following to the enrolment:

  • Valid ID or passport for identification
  • Certified copy of Bachelor’s diploma (Masaryk University graduates can bring a simple copy of the diploma, it does not have to be certified)
  • If the Bachelor’s diploma was issued abroad, the applicant must file A Nostrification of Certificates Issued by School Abroad on the day of enrolment unless specified otherwise by a bilateral agreement. Detailed information on legalisation process is available here.
  • We recommend to bring the invitation letter and a pen (the Office for Studies cannot provide any).

Power of Attorney for Decission of Admission collection

It is possible to empower another person to collect the Decision of Admission to Studies by written Power of Attorney signed by the attorney. Legalization is not required.

Photographing for the student chip card

Every applicant accepted to studies will be photographed on the day of enrolment to studies. The photography will be used to produce a student chip card. It is not possible to use standard ID/passport photographs!

Apart from the day of enrolment, photographing can be done on different date. Photographing is provided by the Institute of Computer Science, Masaryk University, more information here.
