State final examinations
About state final examinations at the PdF in general
The state final examination (SZZ) including defence of the final thesis can be taken in accordance with the SZŘ at the end of the spring and autumn semesters. The method of assigning, elaborating, submitting and evaluating final theses is specified by the Dean´s Instruction No 1/2019. An appendix to this instruction is the final thesis project form, information about the correct citation style in academic texts and recommendation for assessment of final theses (for supervisors).Caution: If you fail to meet the following deadlines, you cannot take the state final exams (SZZ) in the given semester!
Important deadlines for state final exams (SZZ) in the spring semester:
- dates of exams: May, June
- submission of application for SZZ: always by 30 March (inclusive)
- meeting conditions for access to SZZ: always by 20 April (inclusive)
Students who apply for defence of their theses must also:
- update all information in the topic of your thesis in the IS always by 20 March inclusive (after this deadline all existing information from the topic of the thesis will be transferred to the archives of the thesis which will thus open to the student so that the thesis can be uploaded),
- upload the Bachelor´s/Master´s thesis to the archives in the IS always by 30 March (inclusive).
Important dates for state final exams (SZZ) in the Autumn semester
- date of the exams: January, February
- submission of application for SZZ: always by 30 November
- meeting conditions for access to SZZ: always by 10 December (inclusive)
Students who apply for defence of their theses, must also:
- update all information in the topic of your thesis in the IS always by 10 November inclusive (after this deadline all existing information from the topic of the thesis will be transferred to the archives of the thesis which will thus open to the student so that the thesis can be uploaded),
- upload the Bachelor´s/Master´s thesis to the archives in the IS always by 30 November (inclusive).
